The artist and writer Erik
Steffensen has chosen five masterpieces from the Glyptotek’s
collections: works by Manet, Gauguin, Rodin and Bourgeois;
and a sculpture from Ancient Egypt.
Steffensen presents the art of our collective past – from ancient
stone to pink latex – and surrounds them with his own, new works.
The visitor is involved all the way as the artist dates,
experiences, interprets, guides and finds new approaches to art.
The exhibition High Five – A Journey of Discovery is his salute to
the Glyptotek, world art and the human body.
In connection with the exhibition, Erik Steffensen has produced
the book “High
Five” (Gyldendal, Copenhagen 2010).
